Yes! The camps are suitable for beginners, no previous knowledge is required.
The camps are meant for beginners and will focus on technique. While some basic endurance and coordination will help, no specific level is required.
For both camps, gear can be rented at the ski center at the start of the trails. The rental cost of a full set (skis, poles, shoes) for 2 days is around 80 CHF.
Winter running clothes are a very good option if you don't have cross-country skiing specific gear yet. It is recommended to wear layers, as the temperature might change during the day.
Suggested top layers: baselayer (ex: merino), midlayer/light fleece, windbreaker
Suggested bottoms: warm leggings or winter hiking pants, with tights if expected temperatures are cold.
Don't forget a warm pair of gloves with good grip, a beanie or headband, a buff and sunglasses.
A bottle of water or thermo bottle & snacks for the breaks.
Sunglasses
Sunscreen
A list of recommended material will also be provided with the registration confirmation.
We will go together to a snack-bar/restaurant close to the trails. But you can also bring your own snacks if you prefer.
The camp will happen with any weather, unless a weather warning or heavy snowfalls are foreseen, which would impact the quality of the classes.
Both locations usually have some trails ready starting end of November, also thanks to artificial snow. Should that not be the case, the camp will be cancelled a few days in advance (with full reimbursement).
The cancellation terms will be explained in the registration form. After the deadline it will only be possible to transfer the registration to another participant.
I'm happy to organize a private class based on individual availability. Please contact me directly.
